Inspired by the concept of the “4th Internal Monad” from the “Michael Teachings” — the phase of life when we begin to question who we really are and whether we are being true to ourselves. A pause to evaluate if our actions are congruent and aligned with our true desires and goals or whether we are simply following automatic rules from conditioning by society. It is about finding our true personality and essential purpose.
The music draws from West African rhythms, synths from the 80’s and a good measure of Progressive Rock. Weaving Bembe and Bikutsi, we build a trance to the motto “To Thine Own Self Be True”.
To thine own self be true
Be true
Look at what I’ve done
I’ve accomplished it all
Staying in the game
I have learned how to play
Working hard defining my own way
I pause to observe
If I’m doing alright
There is some unrest
In my mind and my heart
Is this what I wanted to express?
I understand
That this path has to change
There’s a certainty that
Something must be done
With clarity
I long for freedom
Leave all behind
Find what’s real in this place
Go back home again
Dancing with my true bliss
Internal Grace
These doubts hurt a lot
I just let them walk by
This time I was lucky enough
To decline
Many people lost in their embrace
I realize
That my life has just changed
There’s a certainty that
Something made through
All the insanity
It’s truly freedom
Left all behind
Found what’s real in this place
Went back home again
Dancing with my true bliss
Eternal Grace
There’s movement all around
And I see the world it’s the same
But I have become aware
And finally I realize
That my life has just changed
There’s a certainty that
Something made through
All the insanity
Yearn for freedom!
Leave all behind
Find what’s real in this place
Go back home again
Dancing with your true self
True to yourself
To thine own self be true
